The Pelican Watch

           A 14.5"x 10.5" watercolor with gouache on 300lb cp paper.  The water is layered with many

glazes of reds, violet, yellow and greens.

A Juxtaposition on Birds

A 15"x22" watercolor on 140lb cp Arches paper.  I did not see the juxtaposition of the pelican to the dainty sandpipers, until after I finished the painting.  The reference photo had seagulls, that were almost the size of the pelican and I wanted to my focal point on the pelican.
