Magnolia Blossoms

11"x 7.5" watercolor on 140lb cp paper.  This was an assignment on the "Painting Loft."  I used HB royal blue charging in hooker green for the background.  The flower are primary red Magenta MairiBlu.

Little Red Flowers

11" x 14" watercolor underpainting with pastel on cp 300lb.  Reference photo is from Gary Keimig "Wilderness Art Challenge."  I masked off the flower and leaf shapes. I used Dr. PH. Martin's watercolor for the background. I poured blue charging the yellow paint with a little red into the blue.
